Thank you to more than 40 people who helped spruce up our dear old meeting house last Sunday.  Special thanks to Kirk Gettig and the Trustees, mom Nancy Gettig and her Social Committee for the great lunch.

“All You Need is Love” is the title of a sermon series Pastor Jack began April 27th. We are looking at the different kinds of love taught in the Bible and how we can become more loving and forgiving, and how we can form, sustain and deepen our relationships.

May 25th – Service of Candle Lighting – During today’s service, we’ll have the opportunity to light a candle in memory of loved ones and say a prayer of thanks to God for their lives.

May 25th – Youth Night: All youth are welcome at MCC Youth Night from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at the church for games, food and a lot of fun.  For more info see Eileen Tweedie, Supt. of Sunday School.

June 1st - How to become a member: Pastor Jack will hold an information meeting right after church on June 1st.  Grab a cup of coffee and meet with Pastor Jack to find out how to become a member.

June 8th Children’s Sunday: A special worship service to honor and recognize the teachers and children of our Sunday School.  Pastor Jack will preach and open the Good News Mystery Box this month with Teanna Hallett and all other aspects of the service will be conducted by our Sunday School students.  Bibles will be awarded to students entering Grade 3 in the fall.

August 11-15: Wilderness Escape VBS! Mark your calendars for this summer’s VBS: August 11-15 (the week after the Manchester Rec. Program ends).  We will caravan with Moses and the Israelites as they escape Egypt and watch God guide and provide.

MCC Cookbook: Please email to or bring in your favorite recipes, quick tips and food related questions and answers & leave them in the Basket/Recipe Basket in the back of the Sanctuary, for a MCC Cookbook that the Future’s Group hopes to have ready to sell at the Christmas Fair. Deadline for receiving recipes is July  31st.

Church Calendar:  Please add your church events to the official calendar outside the secretary’s office (using the pen provided) to reserve the space and time you need.

Prayer Vine: In order to keep the prayer vine current & manageable please let the Church office or Pastor know of names that can be removed or added

May 31stKennebec Valley Garden Club Plant Sale at the Manchester Fire Station – 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to benefit Barrows Scholarship Fund and other community activities.


Office Hours

Pastor Jack’s office hours are Wednesday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Of course he is always available for pastoral emergencies at 508-423-0705 (cell) or 207-737-2047 (home).
