Please welcome our new Pastoral Intern, Alec Rogers: who will be working under Pastor Jack beginning in September!  Alec and his wife, Julie, and their two sons, Mack & Duncan, live here in Manchester.  Alec has been pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts while running their business in Augusta, the Quality Inn & Suites Maine Evergreen Hotel on the Whitten Road.  Alec has served on Manchester’s Select Board in the past and has garnered the respect of the community over the years, and he’s looking forward to serving the Lord and discerning his call among friends and neighbors at MCC.  The Board of Deacons and the Executive Committee have given their endorsement to Alec’s internship.

Children’s Sunday Special Offering: $302.was received during our special children’s ministry offering on Children’s Sunday.  Half of the offering will be used by our Missions Team to make up kids’ packs to be distributed through the Manchester Elementary School nurse’s office when school is dismissed for the summer.  The other half will help purchase the student materials for our VBS so that we can continue to offer it free of charge.

“All You Need is Love” is the title of a sermon series Pastor Jack began April 27th. We are continuing looking at the different kinds of love taught in the Bible and how we can become more loving and forgiving, and how we can form, sustain and deepen our relationships.

Summer Coffee & Punch Schedule: The Social Committee would like some help providing coffee and punch for July & August.  Just coffee and punch (no snacks).  If you would like to help there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in Johnson Hall or call Jean Davenport (207-446-6611).

Pew Cards: Visitors, please let us know you were here by filling out the Pew Card in the pew rack and drop it in the offering plate.

Prayer Vine: You can use the pew card and drop it in the offering plate to help keep the Prayer Vine current.

Birthday & Anniversary Book Update and Mailing List: to help update our Birthday & Anniversary Book, along with our mailing list please fill out a Pew Card with name, address, phone, email, birthday and anniversary info and drop  it in the offering plate.

August 11-15: Wilderness Escape VBS! Mark your calendars for this summer’s VBS: August 11-15 (the week after the Manchester Rec. Program ends).  We will caravan with Moses and the Israelites as they escape Egypt and watch God guide and provide.

MCC Cookbook: Recipe Collection Sheets are located on the back table in the sanctuary. Please read directions on back before completing form and leave them in the basket on the back table.  We are also looking for house hold tips and food related questions and answers to add to the book. Tentative deadline for receiving recipes is July 31st.

Church Calendar:  Please add your church events to the official calendar outside the secretary’s office (using the pen provided) to reserve the space and time you need.
