Guess Musicians: We welcome today Elizabeth Sarantos and Robin and Everly McCormick.  Elizabeth and husband Dino have worshipped with us before.  They have two adult children and live in Mass.  Robin and her husband Rick live in New Hampshire with daughter Everly who is a piano teacher.

Summer Sermon Series: Tell Me the Old, Old Story”.  We’ll look at some of the Old Testament heroes and how their lives foreshadow the coming of Christ, and the lessons we can learn. 

 

Only One Week to VBS: Register today in Johnson Hall for Wilderness Escape, August 11-15, 9 a.m. to noon.  MCC VBS is for kids who have completed Grade K through 5, plus a preschool program for 4- and 5- year olds.

Needed for VBS: We still need lots of blankets and rugs for decorating.  Bring colors and geometric prints or stripes preferred.  We could also use LARGE stuffed camels or wild cats (leopards, cheetahs).  Do you have one we could borrow?  See Kathy Daniel.

 

Lobster/Hot Dog Dinner: August 24th. For church family and friends. Single lobster $9, double lobster $14. Dinners need to be ordered and prepaid by August 10th. For more infor see Debbie Maddox or Lynn Sweeney. 

Augusta/Manchester Food Bank: is in need of canned tuna, canned fruits, peanut butter, granola bars, canned soups and plastic/reusable bags.  Put items in the baskets at the back of the Sanctuary.

Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Project: Please bring shoe boxes to the Church by Sept. 7th for this missions project. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches to help give children present.  More information to come.

Pew Cards: Visitors, please let us know you were here by filling out the Pew Card in the pew rack and drop it in the offering plate. 

Prayer Vine: You can use the pew card and drop it in the offering plate to help keep the Prayer Vine current.

Church Calendar:  Please add church events to the official calendar outside the secretary’s office (using the pen provided) to reserve the space.
