Sacrament of Baptism: Gracie Farrell is being baptized today on Profession of Faith. Gracie is the daughter of Adam Farrell and Jenny Kingsbury and the big sister of Lydia.

 

This Week VBS: If you have not yet signed up for Wilderness Escape VBS, see Kathy Daniel today. MCC VBS is for kids who have completed Grade K through 5.  Set up is immediately following church today.

 

Lobster/Hot Dog Dinner: August 24th. For church family and friends. Single lobster $9, double lobster $14. Dinners need to be ordered and prepaid by August 10th. For more information see Debbie Maddox or Lynn Sweeney. 

 

ALPHA: A new Alpha course lead by Kathy Daniel and Alec Rogers begins on Thursday evening September 25th.  Alpha is a ten-week Christian course that answers such questions as “What happens when we die?”, “How do we pray?”, “How do we read the Bible?”  It is offered by dozens of churches in Maine and thousands of churches around the world.  To learn more plan to attend the Alpha Dinner at MCC on Thursday, September 11th at 6:30 p.m.

BETA: is a Bible Study lead by Pastor Jack for those who have already taken Alpha.  It also will meet on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. and includes dinner.  To learn more, you can contact Pastor Jack or attend the Alpha Dinner on September 11th.

 

Pastor Jack Vacation: Pastor Jack is on vacation from August 14th thru August 24th.  During this time Rev. Davenport will be available for any Pastoral Emergencies.  He can be reached at 215-6838.

Summer Sermon Series: Tell Me the Old, Old Story”.  We’ll look at some of the Old Testament heroes and how their lives foreshadow the coming of Christ, and the lessons we can learn. 

 

Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Project: Please bring shoe boxes to the Church by Sept. 7th for this missions project. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches to help give children present.  More information to come.
