“America, the Beautiful”

O beau-ti-ful for spa-cious skies,  For am-ber waves of grain,

For pur-ple moun-tain maj-es-ties   A-bove the fruit-ed plain!

A-mer-i-ca!   A-mer-i-ca!    God shed His grace on thee,

And crown thy good with broth-er-hood   From sea to shin-ing sea!

O beau-ti-ful for pil-grim feet,  Whose stern im-pas-sioned stress

A thor-ough-fare for free-dom beat   A-cross the wil-der-ness!

A-mer-i-ca!   A-mer-i-ca!    God mend thine ev-ery flaw,

Con-firm thy soul in self-con-trol,  Thy lib-er-ty in law!

“If My People’s Hearts Are Humbled”

If My peo-ple’s hearts are hum-bled,  If they pray and seek My face;

If they turn a-way from e-vil, I will not with-hold My grace.

I will hear their prayers from heav-en;  I will par-don ev-‘ry sin.

If My peo-ple’s hearts are hum-bled, I will sure-ly heal their land.

Then My eyes will see their sor-row. Then My ears will hear their plea.  If My peo-ple’s hearts are hum-bled I will set their na-tion free.

If My peo-ple’s hearts are hum-bled, If they pray and seek My face;

If they turn a-way from e-vil, I will not with-hold My grace.

“Eternal Father, Strong to Save”

O Christ, the Lord of hill and plain  O’er which our traf-fic

runs a-main By moun-tain pass or val-ley low;  Wher-

ev-er, Lord, our breth-ren go, Pro-tect them by Thy

guard-ing hand From ev-ery per-il on the land.

O Spirit, whom the Fa-ther sent To spread a-broad the

Fir-ma-ment;  O Wind of heav-en by Thy might Save

all who dare the ea-gle’s flight, And keep them by Thy

watch-ful care  From ev-ery per-il in the air.

O Trin-i-ty of love and power,  Our breth-ren shield in

dan-ger’s hour;  From rock and tem-pest, fire and foe, Pro-

tect them where-so-e’er they go;  Thus ev-er-more shall

rise to Thee Glad praise from air and land and sea.    A-men
